Through this effort, Ørsted aims to help create a welcoming environment where residents of all abilities can take part in local activities. This reflects the company’s long-term commitment to coexistence and shared growth with communities in Incheon.
As part of the initiative, Ørsted Korea collaborated with the Ongjin-gun Branch of the Incheon Association for the Physically Disabled, providing practical support, such as event uniforms and equipment, as part of the Incheon Rehabilitation and Empowerment Sports Day for People with Disabilities, held last week at a neighborhood park in Namdong-gu, Incheon.

This initiative reflects Ørsted’s long-term commitment to coexistence and shared value creation in Incheon, home to the company’s 1.4 GW Incheon Offshore Wind Project located about 70 kilometers off the coast. Once completed, the offshore wind farm will generate renewable energy equivalent to powering approximately one million households while contributing to long-term economic and social value for the region and to Korea’s 2050 carbon neutrality goal.
Ørsted will continue to work closely with communities across Incheon to ensure the benefits of renewable energy are shared widely — helping local residents participate in and thrive alongside Korea’s clean energy transition.
