Ørsted APAC Wins HR Asia Award 2021
Named One of the Best Companies to Work For in Asia for Friendly, Diverse, Inclusive Work Environment
 

World most sustainable energy company Ørsted today (6) was named one of the ‘Best Companies to Work For in HR Asia Award 2021. With the regional hub in Taiwan, Ørsted Asia Pacific was selected from a field of nearly 300 participating enterprises in recognition of its excellent performance in open communication, flexible working arrangements, and high engagement.
HR Asia’s Best Companies to Work For in Asia Awards is recognized as one of the most authoritative awards in the field of human resources in Asia, covering 13 markets across the region. Through online assessments and employee participation in a Total Engagement Assessment Model Survey, HR Asia measures each company’s level of corporate culture, employee engagement, and team dynamics, giving awards to companies after a comprehensive assessment.

Ørsted’s expanded our footprint to the Asia Pacific region in 2016, established a regional hub in Taiwan and subsequently set up offices in Japan, South Korea, and Vietnam. Our mission in APAC is to catalyze the region’s green transformation by introducing sustainable renewable energy systems, including offshore wind and renewable hydrogen, and working closely with key stakeholders, suppliers, and our employees in the four markets.   

In APAC, Ørsted owns 35% of the 128 MW Formosa 1 offshore wind farm, the first commercial-scale offshore wind farm in Taiwan in operation. We are constructing the 900 MW Greater Changhua 1 & 2a Offshore Wind Farms - Taiwan’s first large scale offshore wind projects. In addition, Ørsted APAC has more than 6.4 GW offshore wind projects in development, including the remaining 1.5 GW Greater Changhua projects and 2.1 GW Xu Feng projects in Taiwan, 1.3 GW Incheon projects in South Korea, as well as more than 1.5 GW in Japan through the Chosi offshore wind projects, the Noshiro/Mitane/Oga, and the Yurihonjo Offshore Wind Farms.
