Ørsted is currently developing the 1.47 GW Incheon Offshore Wind 1 and 2 projects, located approximately 70 km off the coast of Incheon, and views the adoption of advanced technologies and collaboration with the Korean supply chain as key to their successful development. As part of these efforts, Ørsted will showcase its offshore wind innovations at the Korea Energy Show and explore new partnerships to expand opportunities for Korean suppliers to participate in the projects.
At the Ørsted booth (B025) in BEXCO Exhibition Center 1, visitors can learn more about the Incheon Offshore Wind projects and Osonic, Ørsted’s proprietary patented technology that can reduce noise generated during monopile installation by up to 99%. Visitors can also take a virtual reality tour of the world’s largest offshore wind farm, built by Ørsted in the UK, and experience what it is like to be at an actual offshore wind site.
On 17 September, Ørsted will participate in two special sessions in Room 4 on the third floor of BEXCO, highlighting environmentally friendly offshore wind technologies and tangible opportunities for Korean suppliers to participate in its projects. At a forum jointly hosted by the Korea Energy Agency and the Embassy of Denmark in Korea, Ørsted will share examples of its environmentally friendly technologies. This will be followed by an Ørsted-hosted session titled “Partnering with Ørsted: Supplier Opportunities and Innovative Solutions,” which will provide detailed guidance on supplier registration and procurement procedures for the Incheon Offshore Wind 1 and 2 projects. Building on more than a decade of partnerships with Korean suppliers across its global projects, Ørsted will explore opportunities to further strengthen these relationships through the Incheon projects, its first in Korea.

Ørsted will also hold a special “Earth Ice Cream” event to raise awareness of climate action in an engaging and accessible way. The event will begin at 1:00 p.m. on 16 and 17 September at the Ørsted booth and will be open to the first 100 visitors each day.
